N.J.S.P. Registration: $75.00 - Sagem Morpho Fingerprints $70.25

DIRECTIONS FOR NEW S.O.R.A. APPLICANTS

All security officers must receive this 24 Hour course to become NJ Certified Security officers. Applicants shall submit fingerprints and be subjected to a Criminal History Background Check. Applicants must successfully pass a written exam, which is a course requirement for Certification.

All students must first register on-line ($75.00 Fee) with the New Jersey State Police and receive a 30-day temporary certificate. This should be done before registering for a class. Students must print out a fingerprint form and be fingerprinted within the 30 day period at Sagem Morpho ($70.25 Fee).

To Register with NJ State Police, access www.njsp.org, click on First Time Applicant. Then, click on Security Officer Application. Follow directions and Print 30 DAY Temporary Certificate and Fingerprint Form.

Bring 30 Day Temporary Certificate with you to Class and Two Identifications.

DIRECTIONS FOR CERTIFICATION RENEWAL S.O.R.A. APPLICANTS

To Renew your SORA Certification, access www.njsp.org, click on Renewal Applications($85.30 Fee), enter your LOGONID AND PASSWORD, Follow the directions and Print out the New Application ID, which is needed for Renewal Class.

You must bring the Printout and Two Identifications to Class. Do not let yourself expire you will have to complete the entire process again.

DIRECTIONS FOR ACTIVE LAW ENFORCMENT APPLICANTS

Active, Full-Time, Law Enforcement Officers must follow same procedures as New S.O.R.A Applicants, however, class training is waived for Active P.T.C. Certified Officers. Retired officers must attend training class.

(Specials, Deputies, Auxilaries, and Retired Police - Must attend 24 Hour Class )

Schedule an appointment for a photo session, and to provide Employment verification. Email us for a convenient appointment time or visit us on any start class day.

ACCEPTABLE IDENTIFICATION

Category 1: Passport, Current N.J. Digital license, Military Photo ID.

Category 2: Birth Certificate, School Photo ID Card, State Professional License, N.J.

Firearm Purchaser ID Card, Valid Government Employee Photo ID Card.

DIRECTIONS FOR CLASS REGISTRATION

Visit our Online Class Schedule and Select a Class / Date. Visit Class Registration Link and complete Registration form. Pay by Credit Card to confirm your class seat. Students can be fingerprinted, after attending class, but fingerprinting must be done before the 30 Day Temporary Certificate expires, so make your appointment right away. ( Fingerprints are not needed before attending Class ) .

Security Officers receive a permanent identification number and Identification card from NJ State Police. This certification is valid for two years. Do not let yourself expire you will have to complete the entire process again.
